About The Ace Base
Independent software. Practical infrastructure. Considered design.
The Ace Base is an independent technology organization building software, developer tools, identity infrastructure, web experiences, and typography products. The work ranges from production-facing services to focused experiments, with a shared aim: make useful technology easier to understand, integrate, and maintain.
Where Better Begins.
What we do
We build across a few connected areas rather than treating every project as an isolated product.
- Identity and authentication — sign-in, authorization, sessions, and application identity.
- Application infrastructure — configuration, origin verification, deployment support, and integration tooling.
- Developer experience — APIs, SDKs, automation, documentation, and tools that reduce integration friction.
- Typography and the web — font discovery, font delivery, and interface work where design and implementation meet.
- Experimental software — focused explorations that may evolve into maintained products.
Projects
Project status and implementation details belong in each project's own documentation. The live repository and API remain the source of truth for behavior that can change.
| Project | Focus | Documentation |
|---|---|---|
| Typace | Font discovery and web font delivery | API reference |
Projects can be active, experimental, archived, or discontinued. A project description should not be read as a guarantee of uptime, support level, or release status.
The team
Ace Yash
CEO · @aceyash-dev
Ace Yash leads the organization's direction, products, and development work, including product decisions, implementation, and technical architecture.
Yash Gupta
CCO & Technology · @acetheticsx
Yash Gupta contributes across communications and technical development, working with the team on product delivery and the systems behind its projects.
The team is intentionally small. Product, design, implementation, and operational decisions stay close to the people doing the work.
How we work
Build for a real purpose
Start with a problem or a worthwhile idea. Features should improve the product, not merely increase its surface area.
Keep complexity earned
Prefer clear interfaces, understandable systems, and dependencies that justify their cost. Add machinery when it solves a real problem.
Treat design as part of engineering
Typography, interaction, accessibility, responsiveness, and performance affect whether software is actually useful. They are part of implementation, not decorative work after it.
Make claims verifiable
Documentation should distinguish current behavior from examples, planned work, and assumptions. When a live API or repository can answer a question, link to it instead of inventing a static answer.
Iterate and remove
Refine the work based on what implementation reveals. Features that no longer serve their purpose should be improved or removed.
Principles
- Craft: implementation and the details around it both matter.
- Simplicity: complexity needs a reason.
- Performance: avoid unnecessary work and resource use.
- Accessibility: build interfaces that more people can use.
- Privacy: handle personal information with care and expose only what is needed.
- Accuracy: describe supported behavior honestly and keep technical references aligned with the source.
Documentation and source
ACE-DOCS is the central technical reference for The Ace Base. It provides conceptual guides, integration examples, API contracts, and links to project repositories.
- Documentation: docs.ace-base.cc
- Documentation source: aceyash-dev/ace-docs
- Project repositories: GitHub · @aceyash-dev
- Updates: Bluesky · @ace-base.cc
For implementation-sensitive details, prefer the live API contract and the repository's current source over copied snippets. Examples in the docs illustrate usage; they do not establish that a particular font, feature, or deployment is currently available.
Frequently asked questions
What is The Ace Base?
An independent technology organization building software, developer tools, identity and application infrastructure, typography products, and web experiences.
Where can I find current API behavior?
Start with the project's API documentation, then verify against its live OpenAPI document or endpoint where available. For Typace, see the API reference and live OpenAPI specification.
Is every project production-ready?
No. Project maturity varies. Check each project's repository, release notes, and current deployment before relying on it for production workloads.
Where is this documentation maintained?
ACE-DOCS is a VitePress site maintained in the ace-docs repository and published at docs.ace-base.cc.
